2019 F150 3.5
Hi, I'm looking at a 2019 F150 with a 3.5 ecoboost. It has 38500 miles on it. These are new to me, I've been in my 2009 F350 with the V10 since it was new. I no longer need the 350 as I only have to pull a SXS or a 18' aluminum boat. On paper they seem to have plenty of horsepower and torque. In fact it looks to have more of each than my V10. The 350 is not worn out by any imagination at only 122k on it, just time for a new ride is all, something with alittle better fuel economy,ok maybe alot better economy. Is there anything I should be aware of with 2019 F150 with the 3.5? Thanks in advance for youe answers.

You don't seem like you put a ton of miles on your truck. In fact, you put an average of 8K / year on yours. It's going to be quite a while before you get there but be prepared at 100K to 130K to replace your turbos--both of them, at a cost of $4K or better. Mine on my 2016 F150 XLT lasted for about 130K. Had I known then what I know now, I'd have stuck with the 5L. Great engine. Oh, and my 2.7L doesn't get any better fuel economy than my 2013 5L did. Just my experience; YMMV.

Funny how that works out. My mileage seems to have INCREASED since I retired, 10 years ago. Let us know how everything works out. Also, don't get me wrong. I like my F-150, it was just a surprise when I had to replace the turbos. And, the problem wasn't the turbos, specifically, for the blowoff (blowout) valve. Oh, well.

Well it's sitting in the driveway now. Yeah it's funny on the driving part. I drove truck 42 yrs and it's nice knowing I don't have to go anywhere if i dont want to lol. You know weather's bad I stay home, cold ill just stay home so that's why my mileage has dropped some. I figured you liked the truck just was a shock on the turbos. Alot I've read says maintenance is the key, I've always been good on that. I'll say one thing for it, it's a whole quicker than that V10. What a difference between the two.
