A Couple More Newb Questions

So I bought a 2002 donor motor for my 99 SD and a couple of things stand out. The first is the fan, why does the one on my 99 "sitting on the floor" turned the opposite way of the one on the 02? Also the clutch was replaced about a year ago, and seems to work fine, however, I did notice just a tic of play in the clutch hub, is this normal, or should I be concerned... As always thanks in advance for responses

The fan blades are different because someone reinstalled one of them wrong during a fan clutch replacement. Pretty sure the donor engine is installed correctly. See how the clutch sticks out on the OG compared to the donor?

You had me confused for a minute since engines rotate clockwise and the fans are positioned for CCW. My brain was broke but duh, the belt configuration drives the fan CCW.

The bottom one looks correct based on the blade curvature. I think someone put the one in the top photo on backwards.

The fan is supposed to be a puller and the top one is definitely backwards. Base on your picture I see nothing noticeable with the clutch hub where you have your arrow. What are you calling movement?

Yeah, it has me stumped, the one I pulled with the "backward " fan ran like that for four years, hauling a 22' flatbed around Idaho, and rarely saw a temp. over 197. FYI the 02 came from the factory without AC, My neighbor says it's like that because of the serpentine belt layout. IDK, but I have to make a decision soon, I'm swapping some stuff over, including my AC compressor and installing it next week.
The clutch hub has a little movement in the assembly, maybe .010 or .020 lateral play. I ordered a new on for peace of mind
