1999-2004 grill options?

My grill is cracked across the top thanks to a large limb falling across the hood some years ago. Not a huge priority, but somepoint I'm going to get the hood fixed and a new grill installed. I'll be sticking with the '99-'04 front end, not updating.

My truck is a white 2000 F-250 7.3L 4x4 with chrome. I want to keep the chrome.

I know from the Rangers that Ford put different grill styles on different options. 2wd might have one style, while 4wd has another, and something different for the Excursion. That's not considering the changes year to year.

Then there's the aftermarket. No Raptor grill for me and I want to stay chrome to match the rest of the truck, but definitely open to aftermarket options.

So what ya got or like? Who made it and where did you find it? Maybe post a picture.

You can try OEM from a larger Ford dealer. Try "parts.lakelandford.com" for OEM. There are plenty on other sites such as 1Aauto.com. Try "car-part.com" for the salvage yard experience. You can get great stuff if you search. Going to take some looking on your part.

I can find a stock grill easily, not asking for help there. I'm undecided if I want to stay stock, go different stock, or go aftermarket.

What I'm asking for is pictures of alternatives, and if not stock where did you get it or who made it. It's one thing to see pictures of a grill in a website, it's another to see them installed on a truck.

I ask where and who for non-stock so if I like it I can find it.

Well, if you like chrome you can have more of it by going with an '05-'07 grille. All that's needed to fit it on your truck is to trim the bottom edge, you can buy them pretrimmed and ready to install.

Never mind. I'm not interesting in the photoshops that companies post that never look right, not to mention most of those are just too cheesy. I was interested in seeing what FTE members have done on their trucks. Forget it, I'll figure out something or just get another stock grill.

Your stock grill can be had in all chrome...the center grey areas are chromed when the process is done. I choose the 05-07 grill for both our trucks as aforementioned above. The first one I did many years ago on the Excursion from a company in California that makes them pre-cut. I like it better than the factory Excursion grill because it has more chrome. Once I received it and saw how easy it would be to cut it I bought another factory unit and cut it myself. I've had 2 on my F350 as the first one cracked across the top screw holes, and still have the original one on the Excursion...it's probably been on there for a dozen or more years.

Here's the F350...

...and here's the Excursion...

Someone stole my picture!

I found a, or possibly two vendors using a picture of my truck without permission. There's probably not much I can do about it but I can let everyone who sees this.

The first two are after I updated the bumper and upper valance (tan). The second two are the ads featuring my truck before I changed the upper valence. Also notice it's my driveway (white picked fence in the background).

several years back, I was not happy with my OEM grille from the years of abuse it took from the sun and what not.... I just stuck with a new OEM unit as the aftermarket ones typically aren't ever quote right. I like the factory grill, the only thing I want to add is netting behind it to keep the bugs from destroying the ac condensor and what not.

when I had my 79, I took out the inserts and made a custom mesh grill that I really liked, cost was free...couldn't beat it. I do like the looks of some of the quality aftermarkets but still skeptical. i would have to see them up close and personal

as you can see, I also got new OEM headlights...this pic is from a few years ago IIRC

This is the grill I put on my 2000 super duty back in 2010. I had bought it from" "4 Wheel Parts".
The screen portion was Metal, I dont remember if the out smooth portion was metal of plastic though.

Going through some posts I found this. Do you know anyone who has this grille? If so do you know about replacement lights? I ended up picking one up and I am looking to swap out the lights to LED before I install it. Having trouble finding lights or information on the grille.
