Will a 61-66 F100 door latch work on e100

My drivers side door latch went bad on 66 econoline, looks like the coil spring snapped Easy repair (3 bolt mount) but cannot find a NOS replacement but new 66 F100 latches are everywhere. I do not want to buy a whole Replacement door just for the latch. Will a F100 latch bolt right up and work? It looks similar in appearance.

part number here

Please advise, Don

The Econoline part number is C1DZ 6421812-E, which is different from the F100 part number, which usually means the part will not fit.
Apparently, Green Sales has 5 of them.

The body code of 64 means that this part was not designed for the Econoline, but was adapted from a different body style. I do not see 64 in my truck book, so it must be a passenger car line. A little digging online says this part was designed for a Fairlane Club Sedan and/or a Falcon 2-door sedan. "C1" means it is for the 1961 model year, though this same part number was used for 1961-1967 Econolines. Maybe Bill will chime in here with better information. Good luck

No, not the same.

C1DZ-6421813-E .. Left Front Door Latch / Obsolete

1961/67 Econoline //1960/63 Falcon/Comet.

NOS PARTS LTD in Waxahachie TX has 14 = 972-937-2201.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 17 = 800-543-4959.
