2019 Lariat: Remembering Alarm Settings?
Our 2019 F350 Lariat seems to be having a problem remembering the alarm settings. The menu offers “All Sensors” (aka “Enhanced”?) or “Permeter Only” (aka “Basic”?), and an on/off toggle for “Ask on Exit”.
I’ve tried selecting “Perimeter Only” several times, and I’ve tried disabling “Ask on Exit”, but the settings invariably return to “All Sensors” and “Ask on Exit”. After shut down, the alarm setting display pops up and I manually select PO before exiting.
So, the system’s apparently feeble programming seems to be having a problem remembering the settings. Anyone else see this behavior, or have any suggestions?
Everyhting else otherwise seems OK so far.
Thanks!

I’ve tried that before, but it still defaults to all sensors when I turn the truck off. It’s really only a problem at rest stops when travelling with the dogs though. Every else it’s ok to have the motions enabled because there’s no one in it.

So, I’ve concluded that my truck’s alarm menu may be working “as designed”. Specifically, since I have the “Ask on Exit” turned on, i make a choice once the ignition is turned off, with the default being “All”.
In other words, it’s not meant to be “Confirm on Exit”.
If I turn off AoE, it seems to remember my selection.
Not the way I would have deigned it, but It appears to be OK.
