Removed heads on 351w for a repair
In what started as a simple in car leaky gasket change, I encountered the typical intake manifold bolt breakage on my '95 Bronco.
After spending more than a day trying to extract them, and not being able to access the crossover tube on the back of the heads, I decided to just pull the engine, remove the heads and have a machine shop extract the broken bolts.
When I took the heads off, I left the rockers in place.
Now, to help expedite the reassembly, can I re-install the heads with the rockers in place if I draw it down slow and even like or would this be asking for problems?

So you didn't even loosen the rockers? If not then I suggest you just remove them to make sure the heads get torqued down correctly. These pedestal rockers are just torqued down same as any other bolt there is no adjustment available with them so you're not messing anything up by removing them.

Thanks for the verification..
I was rethinking this and had decided to go that route as soon as the gaskets get here.
I just realized that the rockers mount differently then the sb Fords from the 60s and 70s.
A simpler bolt on design.
The machine shop made quick work of the two broken bolts too. They pushed them out from the underside, broken drill bit and all. Less than an hours charge for each bolt.
This all started with fixing a few oil leaks in car; oil pan, timing cover and front intake seal.
Next time, I will just pull the engine from the get go.
