302 EFI Upper Manifold Waterlines

Can the waterlines that run from the heater water supply tubes to the upper manifold on a 1998 302 EFI be eliminated? Why are these lines connected to the manifold? Are they there to cool the manifold or heat it up in cold weather? I am not going to use this engine in a vehicle where heat is required so I want to eliminate the heater tubes. If the water is required in the manifold for normal operations, I will have to fit up some kind of adapter.

The only lines there will be the Throttle body cooler lines. You'll need to keep em to cool it, the heat source is the EGR valve.
