Diesel vs Gas Cab Questions

Hey guys and gals,
I have an 89 f150 I am building, and it has cab rust issues. I was looking for replacement cabs and came across a 90ish f super duty. Now I know most of the cab will be the same, what im really curious about is if the cab mounts may be different on the larger frame, as well are the clutch brake and gas pedal setups or area on the firewall different?

My f150 will be 4x4 m5od, so I realize I will be cutting out the floor a little for the transfer case lever. Im using all the wiring and interior from my f150 cab and I know diesel wiring and column would need to be changed. Just seems to be a few details I can't seem to find. Anyone with knowledge on differences please chime in!

pedal assembly is different, as is the wiring. cab mounts should be the same though.

when you get the in cab wiring harness out, let me know if it is in decent shape. i need a diesel wiring harness for my 88 and the 87 cab i got to put on the truck is a gas harness.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding pedal assembly, do you have any idea what is all different? Im wondering if a guy can piece together an adapter to make the diesel hydraulic clutch work with the m5od. May be easier just to swap that as well.

Regarding the wiring, if I remember to post back about it I will for sure, keep in touch about it with me, IF I end up going through with the truck.

if i remember correctly, the difference is in the brake pedal. something about pushrod mounting position and angle due to the hydroboost is different than the vacuum brake pushrod mount/angle

Use EVERYTHING from your f150 cab and find a 87-91 cab to put it in. There is zero difference between a gas/diesel cab

86 and older is different, 92 and newer is different

Are these differences the same for 92-96 cabs? I'm looking for something to either replace the busted sheet metal on my truck, or put my drivetrain in. I've found another '95 F250 with a 7.3L with a thrown rod for $800. I might consider getting it depending on the difficulty of the swap; provided the body is straight.

I've got a pedal assembly and it looks like I am not too far from you. Have a buddy headed up to Saskatoon next week.
