Dang Brian you got lucky, way to load test those axle shafts.
Or just the spindle washer is Oreilly's part # 6818-049 from Dorman for $4.99
Or https://www.drivetrainspecialists.co...ndlenutkt.html
Dana 60 full floater - Rear
wheel bearing adjusting nut - 50 -80 ft lbs, back off 1/4 - 3/8 turn. (Check for play).
lock washer - bend a tab or two over the adjusting nut, or use the same bent ones in the same place.
wheel bearing locknut - 90 - 110 ft lbs.
Axle shaft retaining bolts - 40 - 50 ft lbs.
Between 65 and 75 ft lbs.. spin... tighten.. repeat.. repeat... repeat... until torqued,, then back off 1/4 turn... put on lock washer.. put on second nut.. torque to spec.. then bend tabs over both nuts.. in either direction.. in at least two places on each nut
2 9/16 thinwall axle nut socket...1/2 inch drive
This one is for those of us with Dana 60/70's. The usual spindle nut set of 3 pieces (a nut, washer with tabs to fold over, and another nut) usually work alright, but there is an easier way to go. Ford part # E8TZ-1A124-A is all three of those in one. It is a one piece ratcheting style locknut that all you have to do is torque down and go. It takes a 4 prong style spindle nut socket. Ck with the local Ford dealership.

Crazy
That design on the FFDana60 really worried me when I reassembled my hubs... Curious, did you not have the locking tab nut installed ? Did it just fail? Did the center tab bust ? If I hadn't ordered my parts already when I did mine I would have tried the all in one locking nut that Rich is running....

ND says..."(replaced E5TZ-1A124-A) Right & E8TZ-1A125-A (replaced E5TZ-1A125-A) Left
Listed for 1985 and later F250/350 with Sterling 10.25" rear axle.
Not listed for Dana 60 or 70."
Take that for what it is worth, I copy pasted that info on the above post from a long time ago. I priced the exact parts from my local Ford dealership, was never told it would NOT work for a D60.
I seem to remember that they were a lot of $$, so I passed. Thanks for the part # update and info on it. Now I need to run those new #'s at the dealership and go from there.

The inside tooth was chipped/broken. Even with the tabs bent down, it seemed that the lock washer could rotate slightly.
Your picture has me worried that I forgot to push down the tabs in both directions on my build... Wish I had taken a better picture lol.
From my build thread:
Had to get a new locking washer from Napa... broke the OEM one by forgetting to unfold the tabs before reinstalling... Whoops. New ones are darn expensive too... $30 a pop.

Hope you're luck is better than mine with Napa. I ordered a set a few years ago and they were so hard they would break they were so brittle. I ended up taking them back and getting a set from bronco graveyard I think it was. After having the ratchet type on my 10.25" in my 79 I'd be tempted to buy a set of those for a D60 and see if they fit.
