Tailgate Light Bar

New here, new to ford, and new to an F250. Was wondering if anyone has installed a tailgate light bar on the 17 models? Any info on installation, brand preference, or just pictures of finished product would be great! Thanks!

I just installed the DRW OEM under tailgate light. I wired mine so that it isn't constantly on like the DRW but so that it is an actual extra brake light.

Interesting, what did you wire the tailgate light into? Do you have any pics?

I'll take some pictures this weekend. I first tried wiring it into the trailer plug... Bad idea... The truck thought a trailer was plugged in every time lol. I needed up running wires to the tail light and used posi-tap to get to the brake lights.

Great, thanks. But dang.... lol I was hoping I could get by with wiring it into the 4 pin but it sounds like that won't work.

I also installed the OEM light bar on my F350 SRW. I wired mine to the passenger tailight so it is on when the lights are on.

Truck looks good! Any pictures or info of the actual wiring process? Wondering if the same process will work for the 60" light bars.

No pictures. The 3 Raptor lights in the grill are wired to a key on hot under the hood in the upfitter bundle, solid brown wire I believe. That way they are used as daytime running lights also.

The side marker lights on the running board brackets and the rear light bar are all wired into the passenger tail light. They are all on when the lights are on.

Wish I could find two more running board brackets to fill in the gap and add another light on each side so the spacing would be equal

See I wasn't sure how the 3 running lights on each side would like with the supports not being evenly spaced...I had just planned on putting one on the front and rear support and skipping the middle...but it doesn't look bad! Time to rethink.

Hard to tell in pictures what brackets you have, but I know you can find individual brackets on amazon. Could also buy from dealer but risk paying an arm and a leg. Thanks for the info on wiring!

I have read somewhere on one of the 6.7 sites where guys are buying the brackets that fit the F150 because they are shorter and the raise the running boards up. Some has to have some of the longer brackets laying around. I measured and the spacing would be equal to add another bracket.

I got the LED lights on Ebay. They are cheap lights from China. They are suppose to be water proof and We've pulled our trailer through a couple of pretty good down pours along with local driving in the rain and so far so good.
They were a package of 10 for about $8.69 delivered.
