Does anyone know if there is a way to get my Truck to unlock all doors when shifted into park? For instance, I go to drop off kid at day care, I pull up put it in park and walk to back seat on passenger side to find out the door is locked. Then proceed back to driver seat to push unlock and then back around again.

I'm not at my truck right now, but I'm pretty sure you have to go into the menu on the screen between the gauges and find it there and choose which option you want.

 

Unlock, on the inside of drivers door, unlock with the FOB when you get around? I have a lariat, so I just put my hand in the door handle and as long as the FOB is in my pocket it unlocks. There are probably some settings in the dash that you can modify, but I am not familiar with the XLT package to know. I bet there is a way. If not, then Forscan might be an option.

 

I find this extremely annoying also. I have changed the setting to unlock but it still does not work.

 

This drives me nuts also, you think I would get used to it and just remember to unlock the doors but I still forget most of the time.

 

i noticed that too.Then when you shut off the motor they all unlock. i haven't looked into it yet, but it is surly a programable feature.

 

It is a programmable change in the Settings/Vehicle/Locks according to my manual on page 114. Mine already does this, also all doors unlock by touching the handle with the fob nearby.

 

I thought I read somewhere that if you change the remote setting for Unlocking the Vehicle (Two-Stage Unlock) it will also change the setting for unlocking all doors vs. only the drivers door when you put the vehicle in park and open a door. I haven't tried it. So, I could be wrong.

 

Correct set the truck to unlock all doors. The driver has to open their door though. A passenger will not unlock all door aka sitting next to me can't automatically open the back.

 

I hate this feature as well. Ive been thru the manual and my settings several times. There is no way that I can find to have the back doors unlock like the front doors when you put it in park. Not sure why Ford did this. I did note the locks on the rear doors do have a longer shaft allowing one to pull up on the door lock.

 

I just push the unlock button on the drivers door when I get out.

 

Coming from GM this use to drive me crazy. I've finally gotten use to it but I still missing having all the doors unlock when putting it in park. I'll have to look in the settings again, I don't remember seeing it in there before. I have a Lariat with the value package.

there is no way to make this happen.
there is no setting in the menu or forscan (or at least that has been discovered yet)

 

I hate that the tailgate stays locked too. Drives me crazy!
