Ditto. I can't tell you how many times I stop to unload a couple bags of feed and have to go back to the front and hit the unlock button. You would think, by now, I would remember to hit the unlock button each time I get out of the truck.

Nope, have not figured a way to do that either. My truck is a Lariat but I do not have the keyless start. I have been through all the menu screens and cannot find a way to get all doors to unlock when truck is put in Park.......highly annoying. Particularly because I traded in a Tundra that did have the option....tailgate is a pain as well. I've gotten out of the truck, with the engine running at least 5 or 6 times to put something in the bed and the gate is locked even though truck is in park........

Tough to learn new habits........

How about turning off auto lock or not locking your doors?

I hated it so much, I just disabled the auto lock feature.

Single most annoying "feature" on the truck. Was thinking about this just the other day.

As long as I have my FOB in my pocket the tailgate works by pressing the botton on the gate, the fob button, or the button in the cab. As for the doors, I set my lariat Ultimate to unlock all doors if I open my door. If I dont get out, and kids want to get in I do have to hit the internal button on the door, or they have to touch the inside of the Front passenger handle. once the kids are trained, it will work well, in the mean time, my older child might just rip a door handle off before she learns.....

I'm with you on this one. I'm also new to Ford, so I had to learn the little intricacies of certain features. I learn a little each time I drive the truck, but I also expected there to be a learning curve after being in GM vehicles all these years. That being said, many features on both operate the same...it's the button locations I keep learning!

Disconnect electrical connection within tailgate. I did that and am way happier no more loud thunk when it would lock now either.

I'm pretty sure mine unlocks all doors when I open the driver's door. The engine may have to be off though. I will look at it tonight.

I have a felling the OP post is due to Ford doing CYA, they probably got sued when a kid jumped out of a car as soon as the driver stopped and got hurt. None of mine has unlocked the rear doors since atleast 2008.

In addition it may also be intended to stop unwanted entry from the other doors once you stop say in a parking lot and are ready to get out of the driver's door.
