Enjoyed meeting one of the FTE regulars this weekend
Thanks to FTE member Tienmac for some time spent in Regina yesterday, enjoying a look at his immaculate '56 Custom Cab. We were there visiting our son and Tien was gracious enough to meet us in front of the Saskatchewan legislature building for some period-perfect pictures. And the best part was a ride around Waskana Lake - still having trouble wiping the smile off my face from that one! Took a bunch more photos than these to provide great motivation to keep at our project - really enjoyed the experience.

Hey Dave & Tien,
I'm jealous of that beautiful original truck. Our truck had already been heavily
modified before we got it ... so we didn't have the option to keep it original.
So... for clarity which one of you is wearing the John Deere sweatshirt?
It's also hard to miss that you are all wearing long pants & coats/sweatshirts &
the trees have a funny yellow color.... We are still baking down here in Texas.
Fall doesn't make it here till Halloween.
Looking good up there in Canada!

Ben,
I am the one in the John Deere sweatshirt. Fall has arrived in Saskatchewan and it's getting time to put the trucks in storage. I bought the 56 in late May with 547 miles on the odometer, since restoration. The truck now has about 2400 miles. I had just finished changing the engine oil and servicing the truck before meeting Dave.

Yes - should have made the point that the good looking guy in the photo was, alas, not me, but Tien. One of the photos has my son, and my wife, talking with Tien.
Ben73058 - here in western Canada it was summer one day, and autumn the next. But we're used to it, so we'll survive. I've done some Texas "autumns" in various parts of the state, and that's definitely different than ours.
Looking forward to seeing that '51 next time. Another great excuse to hop on a plane and see family.
