What did you do to your Superduty today? 2017 version
I always liked the "what did you do to your superduty today?" thread in the 99-16 forum and didn't see one over here in the 17 forum yet.
I got the windows tinted today. I had them do 2 ply ceramic tint on all of the windows including the windshield. 35% on the windshield, 20% on the front 2 windows, and 35% over the factory tint on all of the rear windows. Really happy with the results.
Overloaded the crap out of her and sent her down the road. These things just pull and pull and pull.... (Disclaimer: They also stop great with properly working trailer brakes coupled with manual mode and the exhaust brake.)
Today installed OEM front fender liners - easy peasy, and front Weathertech mud flaps. Second one was much quicker than the first, as it took me forever to realize that one of the screws for each flap that was to be reused wasn't long enough and I had to get a longer one from my stock.
Put in rear Husky fender liners. They were a bitch to get in as they're somewhat of an interference fit above the fender lip. They won't fall out though.
Started installing the OEM Ford Gatorback rear mudflaps. Gave up when the mounting holes for the brackets just weren't there. Watched the video again a couple of times, realized that each OEM rear fender liner in the video has two mounting holes also used by the bracket. The Husky one mounts differently. I'll crawl under there tomorrow and see where I'll have to drill the holes..... It just got to darn hot in my driveway this afternoon to continue. Anyone else run into this snag? ("snag" referring not to the heat but to the compatibility issue between Husky and Gatorback)
Edited to add: While I was working in the wheel wells my wife removed the carpet mats and installed front and rear Husky X-Act Contour floor linens in Chocolate Brown. She did a good job - they fit well. She also removed the dealer sticker from the rear and dealer plate from the front.
To Mooch91 - how did you remove your 4X4 stickers from the side of the pickup bed? I want to do the same.
For me, I just used a heat gun on low to warm the decals, and then they pulled right off. They came off my truck clean and left no adhesive on the truck.
I was going to post how much I like the silver trucks.... and then I continued to read through the thread and decide I like the white and gray as well! lol I guess I pretty much like most colors. The truck just looks good no matter what its dressed in.
Installed Torklift frame mount tie downs for my soon-to-be truck camper. Got the rears done in under a half hour, then the fronts were a real pain the a$$ fishing bolts and washers through the frame and trying to line up three planes simultaneously that I only got the passenger side done. Driver side will be tomorrow, then the truck will be ready to go.

You may have just sealed the deal on my purchase with those pictures! Looks just like the truck I am working on a deal for right now. Going to be hard to get rid of my current trusty ride but if its hauling 2 John Deeres like shown above, man this will be a good relationship!
