V10 Swap info please

I really want to swap a v10 into my 69 f350 dually project and my only hold up is the wiring. I have my eye on an 2000 f350 v10 5speed 2wd with 15xxxx miles.

What are my options?

I know can use the harnesses out of the donor truck and cut them down but this makes me a bit nervous and sounds like a pita. Not really sure how to figure out what I need and don't need.

What about a stand alone harness? Does anyone make it that will make this swap any easier?... I have heard of megasquirt but not sure if they could do what I'm looking for? What about a harness for an RV? How about stand alone harnesses for the 4.6 or 5.4 modulars can these work?

I have searched a lot but haven't seen many answer. Any help is appreciated.

Your project idea is very cool and everyone here will think it's great. But I'm pretty sure no one here has gotten beyond the Imagination stage of such a project.

Youre on your own here fella.

But if you make make this happen; you'll be the coolest and most popular guy on this forum.

People have done V10 swaps into a Mustang and a Crown Victoria - thing was, those platforms already had a modular engine in it from the factory - but - they still needed the V10 harness because of the extra injectors and COPs.

You'll need to use a V10 harness - there's no two ways about it.

If it's a 2000, that's probably THE best platform to use for this. The one problem you'll have is the speedo and feeding the PCM with the road speed - the F-series uses the rear ABS sensor for this. The E-series uses the output-shaft sensor from the transmission, but the E-series never came with a stick.

I THINK there might be an aftermarket controller to take care of the speed thing, but you'll have to look around for that.
