Rpm problems on a 91 l6

Hello everyone, I have a 91 with a straight 6 and I'm having issues between 2000 and 2500 rpms . It runs fine at idle but as soon as it get between the 2000 and 2500 it boggs out and jerks hard. I originally thought it was an injector or my plugs/wires but no dice. It gave me a 565 code on the a dtc scanner something about a purge flow canister solenoid? I haven't heard of it so would something like that cause this problem? And help is greatly appreciated thanks!

purge flow canister I think has to do with the evap system. vapours from the fuel tank are vented to atmosphere through a carbon cannister. with engine running PCM or ECM or computer will control a solenoid which controls a vacuum thingie and then opens up to engine manifold to burn the pesky hydrocarbons.

Anyway, rough theory... I build my own EFI and am still adding this stuff to it even though I don't hafta...
