Dipstick tube adapter flange leak - again!

Dipstick tube adapter flange leak - again!
I had a leak at the flange several months ago. I fixed it with the diesel o rings kit. I made a trip from TX to AL with no leaking and drive it daily without leaks. But, 2 weeks ago noticed a small dribble of a leak from the same spot again - not enough to leave a mark on the pavement but any leaking drives me nuts. I applied some RTV. It worked for the 2 weeks. Today, noticing another dribble of a leak coming through the RTV down the pan. I'm thinking the flange is bent and not keeping that o-ring sealed against the pan. I'm going to try to apply some additional RTV at the leak spot. If this doesn't work, what do you guys suggest? Is that Strictly Diesel $300 billet adapter really worth that kind of dough? Is pushing the OEM adapter into the pan really acceptable? Any other options?

Have you used this in the past on the trucks you service? I assume if you have the results were good based on you linking it to us?

I love the design and concept.
Mine has been epoxied twice that I know of. Once by previous owners, and clean and touch up by me. Still barely seeps. Cleaning off epoxy won't be fun.
And if you Masters are OK with dropping the OEM flange into the pan, then sounds like a Great invention.
Looking forward to y'all's comments.

I forget, but isn't that the same procedure (dropping the flange into the pan) for the $300ish one from the other vendor? I would not have any reservations about it really as long as you retained the o-ring as the instructions indicate. The oil pickup is toward the top of the pan, that is why when oil is low on our trucks, the engine cuts out. I believe it has a screen on the pickup as well, but not 100% sure.
I will say this, if I ever need to repair my dipstick flange, I will be getting the Ebay one for sure.

I run the golden nugget. I drained the oil at the same time and just changed it. A needle nose vise grips works great to hold the flange until you get the O-ring. I used an angled pick to grab it.
Clean the oil pan with brake cleaner before, during and after. Drop starter, remove dipstick, loosen bracket that holds the dipstick tube. Make sure the eBay one has a spot of weld on the end of one of the bolts! That's what allows you to turn the backplate to catch the other bolt without losing the backplate. I didn't see that back of the eBay one, how many O-rings? The Golden Nugget has 2.

I looked at all of those and wound up using the original flange inside, new nut and o-ring. However, I have two large o-ring kits for diesels so I found one the same diameter but just a touch thicker just in case my flange was out of shape a little. Sealed up nicely and no leaks for about 2 months now.

If it doesn't qualify, or if the designer decides not to pursue that protection, then capitalism reigns. The open market has produced countless mousetraps that all do the same thing.
