Hi, I found a truck and I can't find any information on it. It's a 82-86 (it has the tailgate that has the stamped big Ford letters on the it and The Ford oval on the grille) f-150 2 tone tan and brown but the stripe is half the regular size and is on your complete on the bed. The front fenders are tan and the tan fades into the stripe on the door. Then on the upper rear corners on the side of the bed in brown letters it says Oklahoman. Does anyone have any information on this edition?

 

Another local branded special truck. There are many different ones through the years, we have never found much official info on them. Seems to be a marketing thing that was localized, and apparently blessed by Ford but never really documented by them or anyone else.

 

Amen! Get a pic of the certification label on the driver's door jamb and we will know what year it is.

Pics in post 5 & 6: These emblems are probably FoMoCo Ford dealer marketing promotions. These regional promotions usually occurred in the spring.

There's no Ford part number for either of these emblems. Flip the puppies over, the backsides will be smooth as glass without a hint of a number.

In mid 1980's I worked for a screen printing shop in Plainville MA, "Graphic Images"
we had the License to produce thousands of Ford key rings, Business card holders the "Texas Lariat" tags and thousands of dealer name belt buckles. (dealer name was above the FORD logo, dealer location under the logo).
Hers a Cad holder I just dug out of "storage"

 

I remember these quite well. My grandad had one. I may be wrong but best I remember it was an'84 model. I wanna say that as part of the promotion it had A/C for no extra cost.
