Y-pipe/up pipe feedback.

Not sure of I had asked this question b4?

Friend of mine has y pipe leaking. Found these on Thoroughbred Diesel.

Just want a little feedback on the fit and overall quality of this kit?

Any comments welcomed.

Thx

I have them on my truck. Mechanic that I trust put them on and it was the first time he had used them. He was impressed and I haven't had any problems at all. Seems to be a quality part.

I've had them on for 6 months and no problems so far.

Thx.

This will be the 3rd set for me. I'll give them a try.

Did you have to pull the turbo to install them?

Had the turbo out anyway. You might be able to do it if you have triple-jointed arms and small hands :-). I think the problem will be getting the old set out first.

You'll need the turbo out. Honestly pulling the turbo is probably easier than replacing the pipe set.
Helping with a delete on an 05 a few weeks ago, it worked pretty well to have a guy underneath helping another guy tighten up the bolts from the topside, this was for the bottom up pipe bolts.
Just don't forget the turbo mounting kit for reinstall

I know Anthony (run 6.0 run) makes y pipes with vibrant bellows. They're quality pieces, I can attest.

If I had to do it again I'd get the ones with those flexi kind of elbows.
