4" down pipe.

4" down pipe.
im trying to buy a 4" down pipe for my 01 psd. i have seen that there seem to be two different types. one is like a stock size at the turbo and necks up to 4" and the other is a true 4" all the way.
is that correct or is there only one size. ill build the rest of the exhaust myself but i want the pipe.
so far the best one i can find is from summit racing but they are unable to tell me what the pipe is... SUM-673221-2.
some of you guys must have upgraded, have you run into this before?

I didn't have that problem when I did mine, MBRP from DIESEL MANOR. If you look at the stock down pipe, it starts 4" turbo connection at the turbo then goes 3.5". I don't know anybody that only sells the just the down pipe. I'm sure there is someone that does that. I will look and see what I can find for you.

I would think if you called MBRP, Diamond Eye, Silverline, MKO or any of the big exhaust dudes they would be willing to work out a deal with ya on just a down pipe. I've never seen what you are talking about so I have no input there.

If memory serves they are all 3.5 at the turbo as that is the turbo outlet hook up. Mine is anyways. Then within 1'' it immediately kicks up to 4'' the rest of the way all the way out to the back of the truck. As long as it is a stock turbo anything on those sites is correct for what your doing.

Pure diesel power has one by MBRP both stainless and aluminized in the full 4 inch. sorry dont know how to give you a link.
