Anyone running 35's on stock 18 wheels?

Thinking about putting 35's on my stock 18 inch wheels. I know that since the rim is 9" wide a 12.5 tire is not ideal.

at discount tire they have 35/11.5/18 nitto trail grappler m/t tires for $328.

if anyone has some pics I would appreciate it. Haven't been able to find much, and deciding on what to get has Been driving me crazy. I know I need something bigger. Truck wheels look so small right now

thanks for that post. I like the look of it.

Is your truck all stock, or leveled?

was there any concern on your part with running the 12.5" wide tires? Would a 11.5" wide tire look much different?

thanks-

Stock, no rubbing or any clearance issues. You should probably go with an 11.5 to be within manf. Specs, but I've never had an issue with 35s on 8.5in rims.

I had 295/75R18s on my Tundra, which is like a 34.5x11 and change. It's noticably thinner, but not bad.

34.8x11.3 or 285x75R18 toyo At2's

Basically a 35x11.50. Run 65 front 50 rear unloaded, wearing great

probably a little taller than most 35x12.50's

My longbed makes them look small!

Thanks for the response and pictures. Think I'm just going to copy you. Local tire place (Kauffman) will install 4 of them for $1340 total.

I ran 35x12.5 BFG KO2's on my 2016 truck with stock 18" wheels. The tire shop cautioned me about the width, saying the Ford rim was slightly narrower than the recommendation...but if I was OK with the risks, than they would do it.

I had no issues whatsoever, and my truck was not lifted or leveled. 100% stock. I can post pics if you like, but it was a 2016.

Also, 35x12.5's seem to be cheaper. I got mine from DiscountTire for $850 installed.

You're right, that Toyo MT even goes up to a 38x13.50R18 on a 8.5" rim, thats sweet.

All the General Grabbers and BFG's I look at said 9 was the minimum.

Nitto ridge grappler 35X11.5R20. And the factory wheel is 20X8. At least the ones I've seen are.
ETA: I think 295X65R20 is the perfect size for the factory 8" wheel. A little taller,a little wider, has a better tow rating and is lighter. What I should have done myself.
