New Garrett turbo

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has had and experience with one of these OEM replacement turbos, they are brand new, not remanufactured. And for 770 bucks seems like a good deal. http://www.xtremediesel.com/Garrett-743250-5025S-GT3782VA-Stock-Replacement-Turbocharger.aspx

They are the real deal. I installed one in a guys truck maybe 5 years ago and he never had an issue with it while he owned the truck. The one I installed was purchased from Rudy's I believe.

I used to work with a guy who was the sales manager at Honeywell-Garrett and talked to him about them before telling the guy to buy one. About two weeks later I got a package from Honeywell, one of these. About two years ago I installed it my truck when I thought I was having a turbo problem, it wasn't, and it has been fine.

Thank you for the info Jack, reps sent your way. It also comes with a new VGT solenoid valve, that alone is a $300.00 part.

Thanks. Yep, it comes complete. From a retail perspective it's a great deal.

While some my think I have a great friend there, he's a good friend. At the manufacturers level you wouldn't believe what these cost to make.

At home he has this little Buick Grand National with, well you know ........

I played alot with those back when I was a tech rep for GM. My company car was a T Type with a 4.1 liter. Kicked butt.

You can get another 10% off on Xtreme Diesel for being on FTE, the code is floating around somewhere. Or you can PM their vendor screen name and get it sent to you, it might even be in his sig.

I think it's diesel10, I tried that but it was still 770. So the total I paid was 794. Killer deal for sure.

It was pitted up pretty well and I wasn't convinced it wasn't gonna start sticking again so I opted for a new one. This one has 140,000 on it.

I had installed one on my truck before selling it. Would totally do it again if I had to.
