2017 450 can haul.

went to scale yesterday, I dare say there are few TH heavier than mine so feel safe to say the new SD is very capable.

Over 37k and still got 8.3 mpg over the 400 mile tow yesterday.

Now that it is broken in, we're you able to climb the hills at least as fast as your 2015 f350?

We are out of the large mountains now so will not get an answer to that until spring when we head back to higher altitudes....I am sure it will between breaking in and my adjusting to how it is programed to shift..the POWER is there.

speaking of power - I've heard its torque limited in the lower gears, wonder if that's true when in tow/Haul..

One thing I like my 05 is there are no electronic nannies at all...Granted you probably make more power limited then me not.

Are the numbers written in pen the rated capacities for the front and rear axles and the gvwr of the trailer?

Something I am a bit fuzzy on is how trailer GVWR is rated - is that measured on the axles or the hitch/pin weight also? In which case part of the GVW (measured/actual) of the trailer is resting on the tow vehicle - adding to the truck's carry weight, if that makes sense.

In that case - what is the weight of the truck and how much pin weight is there from the trailer? What is the total of the pin weight + the scaled axle weight of the trailer? Or disconnected total trailer weight on the scale (no truck)?

Combined - to do a proper trailer only weigh you unhitch the truck and leave the trailer on the scale. (tires and landing gear)

That said, you can just weigh the truck separately and do a bit of math and get the GVW of the trailer that way too.

So based on the above scale ticket if the gvwr of the trailer is 24,000 (as the pen numbers show) and the axles scaled at over 23,000 alone, then you factor in 3500lb or so for pin weight... That trailer is thousands of lbs over gvwr.

I am curious what your manufacturer's specs sticker shows. Not to argue the point, I can easily see published spec's vs what is on the unit being different, but below is from DRV's website. It looks like all the Fullhouse's have the same 24,000 gvwr, there are no spec's for the axle ratings. Here are a couple for reference:
