That's the Gulkana Glacier in the background. The snowmachine trail still had 1'+ snow on it and the UTV was bogging down, so we didn't make it all the way in to the glacier. Still. Epic and lonely.

Alaskan style.
Warbird, have you ever run your rig over the scales just to see what that beast weights?

Yep. With full 65 gallons fresh water, tons of gear in camper, whole family, etc, we weighed in at 14,080 pounds so we trimmed just a little to get under the GVWR. We're also obviously well within the axle ratings. I couldn't tow anything bigger than what you see there, while hauling the fully loaded camper, and stay within our sticker payload of 6,114 pounds.

The only suspension mods I've made are Air Lift 5000 Ultimate+ air bags and only the upper Stable Loads. Handles very well with 50psi in driver bag, and 55psi on passenger side.

Nice, I remember when you and I were following the Ford tracking portal on our truck builds. It seemed like forever until we got a VIN and window sticker. I still have my 2017 but only have 7500 miles on it. I built it to haul a 5ver but that has changed. I'm going to go up to an F450 or F550 Cab and Chassis when the ordering for the 2020s open up. I plan to get a Mammoth and lots of storage space and the ability to tow about 8-10K lbs.

You'll probably want to get the F550 chassis cab if you want to stay within posted numbers. We'll be in our current F350 for a while, I think. I want to see what the new 7.3L is capable of, in the real world, and give them a year to work out any bugs. The thing I hate about the chassis cabs is you get only get up to the Lariat and some of the add-ons just aren't available. I'm getting spoiled as I get older. If I get another truck, it'll probably be a King Ranch with lots of options - which means no chassis cab. So F450. We'll see what the field looks like in a year or two.

I actually found those online while looking for an old Willey's Jeep.. ordered it from saferwholesale.com
I use it in parades with the VFW and American Legion.

1994 F-250HD

Here is my 1994 F-250HD Refrigeration Service truck. It is almost maxed out the 8,800 GVWR. Handles great and my customers love it. Still need to color match the Space Kap to the truck.

That rig looks mighty fine to me. The Space Kap lettering is in Red and matches the truck and the dark color seems to compliment the read truck and brings the focus to the truck.

Or it could be that I'm just partial to that model of OBD.

That’s exactly why I need to colour match it. It was matched to a 2005 Ram 3500 Cummins before. Interesting he was only getting 12 MPG and I am at 9.8 MPG. Both were 85% city driving. I’m sure the Cummins had a bit more pep in its step than my 351 5 speed combo.
