Lets see those slide-ins !
I done a search on here and couldn't find a slide-in picture thread so figured I would start one.
So lets see'em! Here is my 2001 Lance 1030 SD Dually https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...05cd85eee8.jpg |
Lets see those slide-ins !
Dually regular cabs look great. I need to do a conversion
|
I don't have a slide in, but I saw the thread title and thought you wanted to see 5th wheel/travel trailer slide ins :)
Also, your truck is pretty rare. I do not ever see a regular cab dually rolling around. |

I assume it connects to the receiver, but it doesn't look like there is a lot of room for vertical movement. A tour would be good.:-X22 |
It looks like it would slap the bottom of the slide in every little bump it encountered.

The tag has a one ton spring and axle set.
I built it in 2002 for a 1500 GMC that had a 7200#GVWR It has been on three PUs Has about 23000 miles on it. I'll do a big write on it later |

It looks sturdier than those baskets I see hanging off the back of SUV's using just the 2" receiver for support... |
Tag axle looks great, I can see how it would reduce rear axle load, but it won't help for vehicle gross weight, which quite often is a limiting factor.

I can see it is rigidly mounted to the frame of the truck, with the wheels providing some support.
