well i had a '04 excursion and it was time to downsize. i found a amazing one owner older ladys 2001 fully loaded V8 AWD explorer 73,500 miles. every option side airbags,backup sensors,sunroof,air ride...plus has a $3,000 sound system in it..hidden 10" sub in a stelth box in place of stock, 8 disk changer in the console, amp under rear seat and a nice headunit.
i absolutly love it and the gas bill will be much less!

Really nice Explorer. I have had 3 (plus an Ex) and absolutely love them. I really like the exterior color and there is some nice scenery in the background.

nope she has a 5.0 302 in it. the 4.6 did not come in explorers untill 2002-up.
i'm pretty happy with the MPG, power could be alittle more so hopfully i'll get an intake and maybe headers soon. the headers cost a pretty penny though.
took a day trip to seward, alaska today. about 250miles all said and done. got 16.9mpg on the way down with a few 100mph runs and wot passing. good weather. had lunch down there and headed home. think i may have gotton 17mpg on the way back i'm not sure yet i need to fillup again.
