Hey Guys! Thanks for the comments, Much appreciated. I was able to get Headers in and torqued to spec with out much trouble today. Only struggle was a few bolts that had limited access due to Header tubes in the way. I Got it handled though.
Should have exhaust complete this coming week. I just ordered the Sanderson 3" collector copper gaskets which is what they recommend. Arrive on Tuesday.
Damn that pic is making me want to go with the original wheels and Bias Ply Tires. I love that look. From the pic it looks like rims matched the body Wimbeldon white paint and hubcaps in Argent? Anyone know the for certain? Originals that came with truck. Thinking to restore in factory colors? .
I have 7.50-16 bias highway tires on my f350. After the 5 mile warmup they ride very smooth. They would look great on your truck.
Can't take the credit, photo found on a Facebook page. IMO, well worth the effort to restore original painted hubcaps if your truck originally came with them.
So After a few weeks of wrenching on this rig in my free time I was able to complete the Header / Exhaust system Install. Pull Carb to fix leaking Accelerator pump. Install a new fuel supply system that is filtered with a 100 Michron filter before pump, 10 Micron after pump, a new pressure regulator and pressure gauge set to 6 PSI. Dismounted tires to paint wheels Wimbelton White. Clay Bar and Wax the truck, Shell and Lumber Rack. Then took it to cars and coffee to show it off and put some miles on it.
Exhaust install was pretty straight forward, It Sounds good. Maybe A bit loud, but no exhaust leaks so Im happy! Here's some pics for your viewing Pleasure. My Son Landon Helping to hang some exhaust components. Collector Fitment. Make sure you Fit these while your Automatic truck is in 1st Gear position. The first time around It was fit while in park and I had Clearance issues while shifting into 2nd / 1st gear positions. Luckily I caught this issue before completing my install so It wasn't to much of a set back. Decided to leave original finish on hubcaps, I think it goes good with the rest of the truck.
