After 20 years, I own another 1969 Ford F100. My neighbor of 10 years gave me a rang the other day and offered to sell me his truck. The asking price was one I couldnt pass up so we pushed it down the street to my garage.
The truck is a factory short bed, 360, c6, in royal maroon. When my neighbor purchased it from a guy in Norco Ca, he drove it home a few miles , replaced all the brakes and then it sat for 16 years. He threw away the doors and stepside bed because he says they were "rusty".
I have now had the trucks for a few weeks and after replacing a starter solenoid, soaking the cylinders with a little atf and turning over by hand, shes now running.
Spent the morning wiring wheeling the frame and painting it. Made new wood rails to match the frame and notched the wood so the button head bolts didnt interfear with the wood . Got the bed level with the body line .

I ran 2.25 inch 16 gauge straight to the back to some cheap Amazon mufflers. They are quiet and ment for a jeep cherokee I think. 3 chamber mufflers. I got some plywood for now and rubbed it down with some boiled linseed oil for the bed. I have all the original wood slat hold downs, I cleaned one up and painted it. I will eventually add them all.
