Getting a Borla ProXS 40359 muffler and new tail pipes installed tomorrow. Looking forward to it. I have this installed on my 2011 F150 with the 6.2L. It sounds amazing.

Depending on the price I will have it either go out the stock location 3" likely or split and go out both sides behind the rear tires. Don't want to go out the back as I have an aftermarket bumper that is a bit lower and I think it would make the pipes too low. I will get a pic tonight.

If the price is right I want to come out each side behind the rear tires. Now should I come out like at 90 or at an angle around 45 Deg? Thoughts? Any pictures? I will get some chrome tips for the exits.

This is being done at a local shop, that has done work for me in the past and he does great work.

Going on Tomorrow AM!!! It will be nice to get rid of the old stockish rotten muffler. Truck has the every so fuel efficient 351 in it

 

Sounds like you're going to have nice setup when it's all said and done.
Mine are closer to the rear bumper then they are the tire, but here's what mine look like. 3" dual exhaust with 4" tips, and it exit's on both sides of the truck.

Just had a single exit installed. Looks and better yet sounds amazing. Love the Borla's. They sound great when you are on the throttle yet without any of that drone you get with other brands. These are stock sounding on the highway and cruising. Just a very nice aggressive sound when you want it to be.

Sounds great on the 5.8! Glad I got this muffler.

Borla is great stuff.

Installed a lot of them on older Mercedes and BMWs; really gives those engines a more aggressive sound.

I'm looking forward to eventually doing the exhaust in my 7.3, but I've completed a big project for now, so it's time for a break.

 

Thanks fellas. Truck sounds perfect. Aggressive nice sound but not obnoxious. Love Borla great sound and high quality. Love that it doesn't make these engines sound like they are struggling with normal slow speed running around town. Even moderate accel doesn't sound so labored anymore. Pulls to 3k and above sound great.
