Good morning. I know the feeling. But, oh what a feeling!

Already ran errands. Returned for another cup.

Have a great day everyone!

Just got done splitting a half cord of wood to stove size. I love the gas bill I get from that little stove compared to what I used to get. Went from 600.00 to 0. I shut the gas off

2006 f350 xl

Hey guys and gals I have a question.
I have a 2006 f-350 6.0L XL work truck. Im looking to update my mirrors to 08 or up I notice on them theirs a turn signal light on 08 and up mirrors, do I have an oem plug for that? I do not have the control **** for power mirror. Or an I just better off to leave the 06 mirrors on it?

On an 06 I'm going to bet all the wiring is there even if you don't have it.

I might trade ya, headed. In for OT on a crunch job so my vacation is secured for June.

Big cup of Java and a power bar to carry through.

Cold morning, hot coffee and some wood splitting... very nice Bill. Have you tried a Fiskars splitting axe? Best splitting tool I've ever used! Used to sell 100 cord a year, hand split it all and still do. Goes thru hardwood like butter, even split rounds as big as 4', no problem.

Pretty country in Shasta County. Did a little dredging up that way in the mid-80s, some fishing and camping... nice place to be.

Yes I have one,use it on the Boy Scout outings,at home it's all power tools. Chainsaw,27 ton log splitter,7 electric log splitter. Only thing done manual in this house now is dragging it in and I try to get the kids to do most of that. I need to keep up with my health so I can work on the 6.0 when the time comes.

I don't think you will find the wiring, but I could be wrong. There's an easy way to find out. Pull up on the front (closest end to the dash) of the door/mirror switch bezel. Don't pull up on the back part, you'll break the piece of plastic that holds the bezel in the door. Once it's popped free, you'll see 3 plugs. They are for the mirrors, windows and door locks. (Not sure if you're XL has pwr windows and locks). If you're truck doesn't have any of the pwr switches, you need to pull the door panel off and see if the door harness is there. If not, it's still doable.

This has nothing to do with morning coffee but I'll entertain.
Pop the door cover and peel back the vapor barrier and look for this plug for the mirrors.

Depending on the option level the 06~07 and I bet even the 05 all have turn signals in the mirrors.
If you start a new thread and send me a PM if I don't see if I can post the diagrams.

Speaking of big cats, here's one I've never heard of happening before. Friend of mine has an 07 F250 6.0. He went out one morning to go to work, and the truck rattled and coughed and spit and barely ran. It wouldn't go in gear. He started looking, and found wiring hanging everywhere. Something had ripped the wiring out from under the truck. Main harness was pulled out of the firewall and shredded. The back bumper was more or less eaten. They think a cougar went after a cat that crawled up in the engine bay to hide, plus he had deer blood from hunting left in the back and on the bumper. They had to haul the truck in to get it fixed.

Being from Idaho, I've had some experience with Cougars. I could believe it went after the cat, but ate the bumper because of deer blood... They eat only live things they catch, never in 40+ years have I heard of a cougar on a gut pile or something else already dead.

Wanted the cat pretty bad. Where was this at?

Morning everyone.

Well i got my honey do list for the week. Where does she come up with this stuff? Nowhere in that list does it say anything about finishing my truck. I got a fix for that though, when she asks to go someplace I'm gonna say we can't cause the trucks not finished.........how do you think that's going to go over?
