Trailer backup camera & TPMS??

Does anyone have the trailer backup camera system hooked up yet along with the trailer tire pressure sensor monitor system? My dealer knew nothing about the availability of these a when I got my truck 2 weeks ago. I have a sled trailer coming in 3 weeks and I'd like to get all that hooked up.

I was working on it today, I have the camera temp mounted to my ladder. may finish tomorrow, I will need to cut and splice the cable as it is twice as long as my trailer. And I dont want to bundle that much cable under the trailer.

So how does it work with the truck exactly? My truck never came with the kit but I'm hoping I can order it from Ford?

Do you have the 12 pin connection? All my paperwork list the trailer camera but the second plug is the flat four pin. When I inquired at time of delivery the dealership said that when my camera came it would be wireless. I inquired that I didn't know they were changing from wired but they were sure it would be wireless. I asked them to check (1 week ago) and have not heard back.

Yes it does. Also my dealer said they are wired now because apparently they work better.

Yes I have the 12 pin plug, will get a picture tomorrow, the whole kit came in a box in the back seat of the truck. And yes they work better I tried a wireless cam but kept losing signal especially if the campground had wireless internet, that interfered with the camera. You have to replace the 7pin/4pin with a 7pin/12pin plug set. My truck side cable for the 12pin was stored attached to the electrical harness above the spare tire.

That makes a lot more sense than their wireless. I'm sure it was that none of them knew the new plug came in the box. This makes me feel better as I was not looking forward to the hassle of getting them to swap plugs that I thought would have came from the factory since the trailer camera was ordered. Thanks

Did the side cable for the 12pin that was stored and attached to the electrical harness above your spare tire done at the factory? If I order the trailer backup camera system from the dealer will I have to cut and splice wires or will it plug into the wiring harness? Hope what I asked made sense.

Mine was done at the factory, as part of the trailer prep, not sure about installing after the fact. it may be there anyways but not activated in the computer. They usually use one wiring harness for everything and just not plug in the options, make it easier to build that way. When I traced back on that harness, it "T'ed" into the main harness. It was almost to short I had to trace it back to get more slack to hook up and not strain the wires.

Ok, Thanks...I may have to do more research. Mine is a dealer order with everything, except for the Trailer backup camera & TPMS. I can't use the TPMS anyways due to my tires. There has to be a way to just get the cable and camera for the trailer without having to cut and splice the wires...I would think anyways.

When I looked at the Order Guide it has this
FACTORY INVOICED ACCESSORIES (FIA) – Shipped separately from the vehicle for dealer installation Part 65B... Customer-Placed Trailer Camera (req. SYNC® 3 (913); req. Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System (874) or Rear CHMSL Camera (873)

If all these are required, maybe the wiring harness is there and all you have to do is plug in the the supplied cable that comes with the Trailer Camera Prep Kit
$348 and have the dealer add the code to the system. I guess I could call the dealer, but wonder if they would know.

I read on here that they wouldn't work with the Goodyear (G614) tires..IDK, but that is what I read on here.
