oil type what oil do you like
7.3 PSDs come with an IH filter made by Champion.
Ford dealers sell an MC filter made by Purolator.
So, do I buy an IH, MC, Purolator or SuperTech/STP/Deutch?
No, they are actually built against different process variation specifications.

I now understand where you are coming from Bob, you hate Amsoil, therefore, you are willing to make unfactual statements to prove it. Maybe you ought to stop being so hateful and allow others to post which brands of oil they use without being ostracized by you. If this gets me banned from this site, then so be it, But I can not stand by and watch someone make foolish remarks about the choices of oil that others here on this board use. Have a nice day.

Actually, it's not just Amsoil, it's any multi-level marketing company that lie and brainwash people, and you are sure showing the signs of being brainwashed by Amsoil!!

Also, do I follow IH's choice or Ford's choice?
BTW, my wife's college roommate was the QC manager of Autolite's plant in Spartanburg a few years back. I walked the line with her. I'm not saying that the there were not differences in the plugs, but it sure isn't much. The threaded metal end cap/nut starts out as a thick roll of wire about 1" in diameter. That gets fed into a CNC machine that cuts the threads and nut and cuts it to length. All of this wire comes off of one big spool. Similarly, the electrode wire all comes off of one big spool. The ceramic insulators were fired in Fostoria, Ohio, but those kilns may be shut down now.
Now for its electrodes, maybe MC specifies a different electrode wire alloy, but the ceramic insulator and the threaded metal end cap are all the same.

What's interesting, the oil that Amsoil claims is for "Extended Change Intervals" IS NOT API Certified!!
For reference, here is the API License URL:
http://eolcs.api.org/DisplayLicenseI...LicenseNo=0995
And, just as a comparison to another API certified oil,
here is Chevron's (notice the difference in certifications!!)

1. Most of their oils are not API certified
2. Amsoil has several excuses that they use for not having all their oils API certified (funny thing, small companies like Royal Purple have their oils certified)
3. Amsoil has designed a symbol on their non-API certified oils so that at a quick glance looks like the API symbol
4. Amsoil uses MLM to sell their products, a system of marketing that is found to be annoying to the greater majority of consumers
5. Amsoil is expensive
6. Using a non-API certified oil can result in denial of warranty work (there was an example of this in the 6.0 forum a few months back)
7. A popular nickname for Amsoil for those who don't like it is ScAmsoil
