Everytime it rains i have a huge puddle of water ontop of my intake housing. Anyone ever do a homemade fix on the cowl seal??
Also i noticed i have a large abundace of oil ontop of the iuntake manifold as well. Could it be from an old CDR valve? is a new valve necessary or can i yank it and throw a hose on?
Yes go to the hardware store and buy some of that stick on weather stripping it works great down here in rainy southern Alabama, Not sure on your newer truck but it works great on my Dent.
i got that foam stuff-its no good-under the influence of heat is is unsticking from the firewall..i need something more durable. Im looking at premade door seals but nothing pops up that eould fit the bill.
the foam seals well-other than its comin apart after a day..

I used this method because the JUNK strip LMC sells fell off two weeks after putting it on...
Thats what I figured with a "Dent" its pinched between the hood and fire wall.. What you could do is get some lath screws and place one screw every 2 or 3 inches apart, A lath screw has a built in washer so you just make it so it touches the weather stripping.
Or get some sort of U channel so the water drains in the U channel like a gutter.
