U-1) Is the bracket in good working order with no cracks or potential failure spots? It looks as if the dip under the alternator was rounded out to allow for the larger case alternator, is that right?
U-3) Did you rebuild the Denso starter or did a shop accomplish the job?

U-1: Confirmed - Bracket was slightly ground down for larger case alternator. No other cracks or damage. I replaced it with one where I used spacer washers to lift the alternator rather than grinding down the bracket... just a petty difference. The one listed/shown is perfectly fine.
U-3: I purchased it as "rebuilt" from a shop where I had other alternators rebuilt. They always did a great job for me, and the Mitsu starter I'm running now is one which was purchased at the exact same time and has run superbly ever since with lots of miles on it. I only bought the Denso because of their reputation, and I wanted an extra spare for the 3 7.3 PSD's at the house.
