I think I do have a Clark 250V or according to the warranty plate a clark 265V. Not sure which yet. It has a pto built into it. Came from a 1961 F600 mason dump truck.

Oh, maybe that is the direct drive you mentioned. These old ford truck transmission sure did come in a bewildering variety and the proper identification is not easy and yet it is essential.
Phillip Here is mine.

Yes it does. I will take a picture later on today and send it to you. It is not engraved or on a plate. It is just painted on with yellow paint in big block letters.
292 Y block. It was a beautiful engine. I sold it a couple of years ago. Hated to do it. Compression tests were good except down a little in only one cylinder and not all that bad in that one.
So the case number 227416 can be either a 250V or 251VO for Y blocks and I found it Roadranger.com interchange pdf. The painted number on the cover id is from my ford parts manual 57-63 which indicated it was a 250V.
Get on the H.A.M.B. in the classifieds. There was one that was advertised a few yrs back & was never marked as Sold. There is another Clark 5 speed in there now but don't remember if it is what you're looking for, the 1st one was.
