I keep reading and seeing this era of truck for sale for $20k plus...someone on here just paid $28k for one, yet I did not even have ONE FTE'er inquire about mine. Makes me wonder what happened. Manual? Miles? That seemed to be the first question people ask is miles.

I’m truly surprised it didn’t sell. The mileage isn’t bad in my opinion, and the manual transmission is something I think many would seek out.
The only thing I could see being a hindrance is it’s not a crew cab. That does limit the market some, as for people with kids or big friends.

Manual decreases the market to the few people who will actually pay extra for it. Not being a crew cab might be a deterrent to many. The year is a deterrent, later ones get more $/attention. And if this is an early '99, even more so. Miles is an automatic deterrent to most people. They wouldn't scare me too much, but I'd know that injectors are right around the corner if they weren't already done.
The mods might scare those in places with emissions testing. Tho I don't see anything obviously non-conforming, the flashy stuff might motivate the smog tech to grab his finest toothed comb. I know my guy would give me the stink eye right away.
