Hey guys, I'm not a part of this group but have a few things to say anyway.

From what I can tell, this is a spin-off of the Rep's thread. If you don't mind, can you change the outline of the group to be less formal. Right now its throwing up concern with the Mod's, Super's and Admins and a format like you have, including mention of rules and dues (btw-collecting dues will not be allowed), will make it so we have to do as we did with the Chapters and create FTE Guidelines.

The Social Groups were created so that folks of the same interests could have their own place to randomly chat, have group names, enjoy themselves. If the social groups begin to look like an organized club rather than just a bunch of guys/gals joining in to have fun, discuss like-minded stuff, etc., they will have to be monitored more often so we ensure you are not overstepping our guidelines and Mod's added to oversee things, you get my point I hope.

Also, note that any type of logo that you guys want to create, if it has FTE in it in any way, shape or form, will have to get approved by IB Tim before you can display it.

Be advised that any organized negative repping will not be tolerated.

I must say when I read the "bylaws"...I was laughing the whole time...I never truly took them seriously as I am sure most everyone else didn't either...

BUT your point is well taken...perception is everything.

I also must say that the group here I have found to be some of the most friendly and non-controversial folks around...I have never seen any of them go out and intentionally look for trouble...and if you look at the amount of posts (albeit mostly BS) that this group spews...that says a lot!

BUT you are 100% correct...perception does rule and there are FTE rules that we all follow and as many of us are also chapter leaders and a couple of moderators in this group we also help to enforce the rules of FTE...so I believe we all want to have the proper perception on here as well...

I know I would never send anyone in this or any other group on FTE "dues"...and again...I believe it was all tongue in cheek when they were posted...kind of a "like minded" rep maniac group if you will...someplace new to BS (like we need more)...but the intent was never to raise concerns for the admins, mods or supers in any way...so you can rest assured that we'll comply completely with your request.

I do enjoy this group of folks and I know that when I say none of them are troublemakers...I am saying it honestly...again take a look at the shear number of posts this group throws out there on a daily basis and how many are looking for trouble.

Also again...this group posesses a lot of rep points and organized negative repping happened once...I believe your stern warning after that occurence got through...but when you are dealing with all the types you have to deal with on the net...you can't "assume" your message was clear...but I think in this case the first one was...

We'll get the outline changed to not look so "formal"...because that wasn't the intent...at least I didn't take it that way...but if it is raising concerns...we'll get it corrected per your request...

Sorry to cause you problems...that wasn't our intent...we really were just looking for a place to hang out and BS some more with like minded rep maniacs if you will but thanks for the reminder to keep us on the straight and narrow!

I honestly didn't take any of the bylaws seriously either. I didn't even read them in detail once I realized it was more of a joke than anything. But like Joe stated, it's probably only clear to the guys in this group that it's all meant in a humorous vein.

I didn't even see where dues would be collected, but like I said, I was chuckling as I scanned the wording, so that is understandable.

I personally wouldn't stand for any neg rep attacks and said as much in that thread, saying "we" were above that kind of behavior.

DX does indeed need to edit the bylaws so there's no misunderstanding.

Per Adimn concerns I have been requested to strike the look of a formal club from the lititure I have written. Not like we would have any real chance to collectively administrate such a thing.

We members understand Carlene's concern and I will effectively moderate the Groups intro message so that it complies and addresses the concerns mentioned. At least I will try and then await futher instruction. This thread is really about like minded people that are good natured and are what the Heartland of America is about. Stanch Patriot's that are free spirited and have a strong common belief of core values and what once made our country stronge. The members of this group are those people. So with that siad I will show that we are still governed by the site. It was not my intention to create a spin off group that would not comply with site expectations. The intent was as mentioned above was to unit like minded people that have a common disposition. Sorry for the perciption of a threat or maverick group. I am actually a little wiser than that and I see we also have some that are just as wise by reading the comments below. The only real way that a maverick group could exist would be to have thier own site and I dont plan to create one and I dont expect to join one either. Okay so all you members I hope you understand that and if I misslead you in joining I can understand if you cancell your membership.
