My inquiry may not be related to the on-going subject, but Im new and wanted to start somewhere. Im restoring a 1972 F-100 XLT short bed and am looking for a full size tailgate trim. Any ideas?
I scored the tires from National Tire and Wheel on a blowout clearance for $250/each. I couldn't turn that deal down! They do not rub at all. I did trim the lower portion of the front fender as a precaution - but in hindsight probably could have got away with leaving it alone.
Thank you - I appreciate all of the replies and compliments. As you guys know - these things are a work in progress. The color combo on my truck was one of the first things that caught my eye. I have a long way to go, but feel like i have a pretty good start. The truck is solid - not a bad find for $1500 IMO. Of course, I have 3 times+ that into it now! (Don't tell my wife!).
I am planning on doing a power steering upgrade and fabricating a front winch bumper for it over the winter/spring. I will post up progress pics as I go. This forum is an awesome wealth of information, and has helped me out tons so far.
