Hi,
I picked up a 73 F700 dump last weekend. My kinundrum is I need an owners manual. I tried the vin # on the decoder, said to recheck the vin #.
Any clue as to where I can find a wiring schematic? & what size engine is in this thing?
The title says the vin is F70EVR54727.
THANKS!
I cant find an email for the Mil1ion guy? anyone got contact info?

Welcome to FTE

Mil1ion is no longer an FTE member.

FTE VIN decoders aren't worth two cents, have all sorts of errors and omissions.

From the 1973/79 Ford Heavy Truck Parts Catalog:

F70 = F700.

E = 361 2V FT engine.

V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.

R54727 = 1973.

For an owners or shop manual, try faxonautolit.com.

NumberDummy, sorry to hijack the thread. Hoping you can help me identify my 47 as a 1.5 or 2 ton. I've searched the numbers but can't seem to find the answer.
Engine ID is 799 J 1549100something, Model is 7981, HP is 87.
Would appreciate any info.
Thanks.

Welcome to FTE

Sorry, I have no info on these trucks, the pages that had this info in my 1928/47 truck parts catalog are missing.

I have another source, but it only covers light duty trucks, which were called Commercial's back then.

The only thing I can tell you is, 799 is a 1947 truck.

Suggest you start a new thread containing this question in the 1947 and older truck forum.

SRC,

You can find Mil1ion by googling him.

It seems he is everywhere but on here,which is very strange since he is so helpful.

He even has a Ford shop manual.

Is this what I'm looking for?
This is the heavy truck parts catalog on a CD, it was scanned from a printed parts catalog by whoever is selling it.

There is nothing strange about it. Mil1ion was a long time member of FTE ... had 57,000 posts. But he ran afoul of the FTE administrators and was banned for life.

Sad, but whose fault was it? That's the bone of contention.

There's a few that started a different site called FTF. At the risk of getting banned myself, I'll just leave it at that, and Mil1ion can be found there. Torque1st is another who contributed back in the day, and I've seen him over on the garagejournal site.

The bone of contention is all around us at times, it seems, lol

I found Mil1ion on the garage journal as well.

I wonder why he doesn't start his own web site like this?

Or can you imagine him and Numberdummy having a website together ?

Everyone looking for part numbers and valued information would have to go to their web site.
