Looking for pictures of other peoples dual exhaust setup on there F-100/F-150 4x4
i have a 1977 F-150 short box 4x4, it has a 302w and a AOD automatic transmission and a NP-205 transfer-case, and yes i know that wasn't done on these trucks from the factory, but i made this truck and did a frame off restoration on it, so that's not the point here,
but my question is how did you run your dual exhaust on a F-100/F-150 4x4 ??? as the front drive-shaft really limits what you can do, and i have shorty headers on my truck, so my problem is what way should i run the exhaust? i plan on running the exhaust out each side in front of the rear tires, but my problem is what way should i run the exhaust pipe? should i run it over to the passengers side? then back over? or ??? and fender exit exhaust is not a option either, i will be just running two mufflers for the street,
so here is what i need, i would appreciate it if any of you guys and gals could post a picture of how you ran you dual exhaust on your F-100/F-150 4x4,
so if someone could help, that would be greatly appreciated,

Here you go...
Hedman Hedder PN 89120, Jeg's 2.5-inch Hot Rod Exhaust Kit, Moroso Spiral Flow Mufflers, Jeg's exhaust band clamps.
Intermediate pipes. Connects to the headers and then crosses over to the passenger side and both go over the tranny X member. The right side intermediate pipe is laying on its side:
Fabbed and painted w/cardboard exhaust tip. The mufflers are offset but are equa-distant from the headers. Not sure it matters much but the exhaust pulses exit theoretically in accordance with the firing order.
Installed with cardboard NASCAR-style "Boom-Tube" exhaust tip:
Exhaust tip prototyping - cardboard, posterboard, and the final version. It's 16ga sheetmetal. Bending it was a challenge but worth the experience. I'm gonna fab and install a pair on my 65 'Stang.
Fabbed & painted with high heat paint. The center and opening supports are 1/4-inch rod so it resists crushing.

sailfast3r how does the drivers side clear the front drive-shaft? it looks very tight, it looks like the exhaust pipe would cross with the drive-shaft? maybe you could get a picture from the a different angle, that would be great, still not sure 100% what setup i will go with, i would like to avoid crossing under the transmission,
also one last request for you guys, could you please take a side profile picture of your trucks? that way i can see how much pipe shows under the frame rails, (i know it will hang down some, but i would like to see that before i make up my mind up, thanks!

I could take a pic but it won't do ya any good. During fabrication, I welded a cross bar to each frame rail to make sure it didn't hang below the frame. My system only appears as it angles down and to exit in front of the right rear tire.. The exhaust tip is 2.5 inches tall and clears the bed by one inch.
The crossover pipe is bent to angle btwn the driveshaft and engine/trans.

EXHAUST STACKS OUT OF THE BED! That is what I'm doing. I am just going with a single pipe and it splits to 2 once in the bed. I love the look and they sound so darn good on a gasser. I'm sure you could do dual all the way to the stacks but thats more work than i want to put into it.
I plan to make a diamond plate cover to cover up anything below the bed rail so all you see is the awesome stacks.

also i am planning on running a dual in, dual out Magnaflow muffler, as it will save space to run one muffler, plus it will help cost wise,

i'd be interested in a sound clip if you're able to do that. Mine has cherry bombs from the previous owner. It's farm truck loud at and just above idle, and whisper quite anything above that...i'm thinking of swapping my mufflers for some real ones..> I usually go flowmasters, but wouldn't mind doing something different this time.

Here is mine it's a 3" dual flowmaster exaust with fenderwell exit header it has a twin on the other side. But if you must go inside the frame i would go on both sides of the t case depending on what pipe diameter you run you might have to dent the driver side pipe to fit between the tcase and crossmember. Or you can avoid all of that and run them under the trany crossmember but that looks like sh-t.

There's so much room under these trucks, but its a little difficult on 4x4 trucks,
nice setup gus11208, i can't do a fender-well exit unfortunately,
and that's what i am worried about, if i cross under the transmission then it will be easily seen from the sides.......
also i am running 2.5" pipe, i will have to think this over, i was thinking of using a Dual in, Dual out Magnaflow muffler, but i am not 100% certain,
anyways, keep the ideas and pictures coming, if anyone has a similar setup please feel free to share it,
