Mobil 1 Oil

Hello all,

So, i recently have changed over to running Mobil 1 oil. I'm running 5w20 but i'm getting what sounds like some valve clatter on start-up now. I usually only hear it when the truck sits a day. On start up it's "clang-clang-clang" then quiet...

Has anyone else experienced this?

thanks!

If your running a motorcraft filter, you've got one with a defective anti-drain back valve.

If it's another brand, it could be a defective valve, bad valve design or a filter that doesn't have the valve.

Change your filter to a new Motorcraft one and I'm sure the problem will go away.

In some engines, Mobil-1 is a bit more noisy at start up, however it is nothing to get your nickers in a twist about....

Really? Why would you hold off during the first Million miles, or could you be refering to One Thousand kilometers? Me thinks you stuttered on the zeros, but still why change after so long?
