Question about minor IE annoyance
Hi,
(No, I don't want to go to Firefox. ) When I open a new IE7 window from either my favorites, or from within an existing window, it opens at something less than full size. The size changes from time to time, but it never opens up as full size.
After a while, it sometimes changes things, so that opening a new window from the icon doesn't go to full size.
Yes, it's minor, but I'm a crabby old person, and I find it annoying.
Is there any setting that I can change to fix this -- I am not afraid of regedit(although, perhaps I should be
)
Also, is it finally safe to go to IE8?
Thanks,

Try maximizing that window then closing it. Windows should save that window's settings and open it full-screen again next time. At least, that's the way I remember it - seemed to work in XP... Haven't actually tried it yet in Win7...
What little I've used of IE8 seems to be relatively OK... I prefer to use the F-brand browser because of an FTP add-on I use to access the web sites I maintain.

As others have said, set the window to the size you want and then close IE. HOWEVER, there is one catch. If you close IE with the X in the upper right corner, it will not save your setting. If you close it with FILE-EXIT, then it will save your setting.
BTW, if you need IE in a full window, you might consider a bigger monitor.
