Emergency tailpipe fix
Hi all, I'm on vacation in West Yellowstone MT. I have limited internet access, so I can't really do a search at this time. To make it short, I noticed my tailpipe was touching the bottom of the plastic cladding, melting it. 
The tailpipe is loose where it exits the muffler, it appears like it is all still there, just loose. My question is, can I use a contact cement to temporarily fix it so it does not keep melting the cladding? Being a holiday, no place near here can do a real fix. Any input or ideas are greatly appreciated!

I can't tell exactly where it's come loose at, but I know a lot of people used to hold up tailpipes with wire, like a wire coat hanger and just tighten the mess out of it to keep it in place until you can get it repaired. If you can go that route, I'd get 3 or 4 of them and make sure that sucker was heavily enforced.

mine was broke off at the rear of the muffler. allowing the whole tailpipe section to move a good 3-4". if i moved it by hand it would stay there for a good while.the best fix is to have it re-welded. or in my case put a new better then stock muffler on anyhow.
