Exactly what "white" are my bumpers? (1965)
I need new tires, but I figure I should mess with the wheels before I put on tires, to avoid doing it twice.
I want to paint my wheels the same color as my bumpers/grill.....what color is that?
While I'm at it, I have a few questions about my warranty info:
Why is there no number under "W.B." - wheelbase right?
what axle is "09"?
I guess for reference, the rest is:

BODY code 381: 3 = Medium Green Crush Vinyl & Medium Green Wicker Pattern Vinyl // 81 = 81A Standard Cab.
TRANS code A = Ford Type 3.03 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission.
AXLE code 09 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.70-1 / non Limited Slip / 3,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity.
4200 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
129 net HP @ 4,000 RPM.
DSO code 21 = Atlanta GA Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
The W.B. & COLOR codes on the Warranty Plate should be there, they may not be stamped in the correct location.

Bill, it's good to know you're feeling a little better. Thank you for taking the time to decode that for me. I was looking at a rubbing of my warranty plate, and yes, the wheel base is there, 115. and the color was there all along, I just forgot to put it down. It's B, Caribbean Turquoise. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Bill, Good to see you are able to get back on the forum. We all missed you and hope recovery continues well. Question: My 64 F100 was Pure white (color code "C") from the factory. Would the wheels and grill still have been painted Colonial white? I am in the process of a restoring the body and returning to the pure white color and was wondering about the grill and wheels. Pure & Wimbledon White are exterior colors.
Some wheels were painted white from the factory (what color white this is...I assume was Colonial White), some wheels were painted black.
The parts counter replacement wheels were originally painted black. Circa 1972, the wheels were painted argent.
Suggest you contact Don (camperspecial65), as he has the dealer facts book...and Don's truck has the rare tu-tone paint combination of Pure White (C) and Wimbledon White (M).

Schuyler, if you do go with Wimbledon White, Dupli-color has it in spray cans... part number T205. It sprays and lays down really well for a spray can.
