Navigator LLS compressor wont turn on. Possibly Manually?
Hey guys. I am new here, but I have a major problem. My rear end is sitting almost on the ground. The compressor wont kick on. I hear some clicking like it should, then nothing comes out of the compressor. I have taken it to ford and they replaced the suspension control module, and it fixed it for about 2 days. Now it has stopped working again. Is it possible for me to manually fill the shocks up, maybe jumping some wires to feed the compressor 12v for a few days just so the truck can be used until I can figure it all out? Please help, details would be great! 1999 Navigator.

Welcome to our world, I hope we are able to help.
Find the relay that is close to the compressor and jump it with a hot wire from the battery, If it does not activate, the commpressor is bad. If it pumps up the suspension turn the master switch off as per the jacking instructions. It should hold the air, if the truck goes back down you have a leak in the air lines or the air spring is leaking. You could also have a defective solenoid valve at one of the rear springs that would cause the systen to vent.

Like Moto said. Check the compressor by jumping the relay. The relay is located between the front bumper and right front wheel liner. Accessed from under the vehicle. Theres a 4 wire connector to the relay. Put a jumper between the two thick wires. This should turn the compressor on. If the compressor does not come on, it's dead. Dealers want $140 for the relay. You can find one on ebay for $50. Used, but they work.
