Some odd reason, I recently got the barrel nose bug. Heck, I haven't finished my Bonus Builts yet, but always looking for the next project. Anyone else building one?

 

Barrel nose? You mean like the '38/39's?

 

i have a 38, drove it home, now all apart, 8ba redone, cab and frame started

 

Yep, 38/39 pickups..... with their swooping front fenders and running boards, makes the nose become a focal point that's just plain neat.

I'm pretty much committed to my F1 and F6, but the next one, I would like pre-war, and the A's and 32-37's are a bit more spendy to buy, even in project form.

 

Might take some gettin used to...

 

Here is my 39. 8ba .060 over, max 1, rochester 2gc, car 3 speed, 3.54 rear. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder or something like that.

great looking truck..have my 38 apart for a redo...stock exterior...have done the 8ba..max1 30 over, offy heads. reds headers two 94's.. your grill looks good...can't find aftermarket for those

 

For the last 45 years, I have thought 39s are ugly.
Heres the one I have been driving everyday for 16 years

 

B, I didn't care for them at first neither, but they've grown on me. Though my F1 and Fairlane keep me busy with intent, Someday I might get me a 38/39....hopefully before the novelty has worn off, lol.

 

I admit it has grown on me and is not as ugly as I used to think.

I've never been a big fan of COE's, but the barrel nose is THEE exception to the rule. Something about that rounded grille on the face of a stubby truck.

 

Havi its scary how much we think alike, i been wantin one of these trucks myself for a while, they look so damn cool
