Bought an 08 Super Duty and it was lifted 6". I would like to remove the lift and put back to stock for two purposes. One, to tow a 5th wheel and two, so it's easier for our old butts to get in and out of. How hard is it to put back to stock? What components are involved? Would like to upgrade over stock since new components are likely involved. Can a jack-of-trades (good with hands individual) do it? If not, anyone recommend a good shop near Little Rock, Arkansas that has a good reputation and is reasonable? Expected cost? Thanks so much.
It's just as easy to put back to stock as it is to lift it. You should be able to do it with a friend in your driveway. If you find the stock parts, you could swap them out in a few hours. The pitman arm (if changed with lift) , sway bar end links (if changed with the lift) and shocks along with the springs need to be switched.
