Is this blend door problem
99 f150 with manual ac controls the ac works great then when you accelerate from a stop switches from cold to hot I turn of ac for a few seconds and turn it back on blows cold again thinking blend door is broken and moving around on its own

temperature problmes are related to the blend door and the **** on the dash. pull lthe **** off and make sure it is not cracked where it grabs the steel shaft. since it changes temp without you moving the ****, it would appear to be more in teh blend door area. the door and motor drive and below the radio, above the transmission hump. take off the plastic cover and you can see part of it. move the **** and the electric motor should stroke the door with a plastic arm.
