Aftermarket Front Differential cover

Alright, so my 2006 has no drain plug on the front differential...what ******* came up with that? Has anyone bought an aftermarket cover with a drain? I found several for $200 and I would love to find a cheaper one. I really don't want to drill my own drain.

Thanks,

I think people are mostly just taking the cover off to drain the fluid. It allows a visual inspection at the same time.

It is quick but messy. Big interval, around 100k isn't it? So it won't be a frequent problem anyway.

Its really not worth buying the new pan, you don't have to change the fluid that often so it isn't that big of a deal. Plus, taking cover off allows for a visual inspection of the gears. In my opinion I wouldn't buy a new pan but if you really want to, summit racing, jegs, ebay and amazon are some places to find the cover for a reasonable price.
