AC comp running w htr on Norm? Freezing:0(

I know that AC compressor is supposed to run when I have on defrost setting. What about when controls are changed
to the different settings?

I pulled dash thinking had a blend door issue. Noticed a ton of cold air in the Plenum box when I pulled cover to moniter door actuating.

1998 Ford expedtion 4.6 Man control front and rear systems. Any help would be appreciated. Thank U .. heck my 3 cold kids thank U too.

The compressor will run in every position except : vent(panel), off and floor.

Is it blowing hot air from the floor vents when your running full warm to the floor?

Thanks for the info and response. It is greatly appreciated by me and the "popcicle kids".

I do get lukewarm air when set at "floor only" and in "rear cabin".
Heater core is hot to the touch, Fluid was a little low. I'm going to try and flush the system, maybe change thremostat too. Any suggestion on the "best way" to flush would be appreciated.

Try switching your temp control **** with one of the other two. They can crack internally and cause problems like you are seeing i.e. not being able to go from cold to hot.

After I drained all the fluids. I used one of those "Flush Kits" that allows you put a "T" in the heater cores hose , you connect it to a garden hose and turn on the water slowly. U can usually pick up "kits" at any place that sells antifreeze. Pretty simple follow directions on packaging. GOOD LUCK
